The QCVN delivers a networking event series that meets monthly to connect transitioning service members, veterans, and their spouses to employers, mentors, and other resource providers in the Quad Cities area.

REBOOT Workshops are designed to meet an acute need for robust military to civilian transition program and close the gap. By addressing transition issues at their root cause, NVTSI and its network of partners helps transitioning service members, veterans and spouses successfully transitioning from the military-to-civilian world through a three phased, 15-day intensive workshop that empowers them with resiliency and self-sufficiency.

The Recon & Sniper Foundation provides veterans with the resources and supporting infrastructure they need to make a meaningful transition back to civilian life. Team RSF has an active network of over 1,000 Recon Marines, Marine Raiders, and Scout Snipers that applicants can lean on to rekindle the brotherhood they left after service.

Helping people on their journey to a better life has been the mission of the Reveille Foundation since 2018. For many who are transitioning into a new community, rebuilding their life, or just want a fresh start can find it extremely difficult to locate and navigate programs and services. Some of these resources can take weeks, months and even years to navigate and unless you are familiar with the processes many get confused, overwhelmed, or simply give up.

That’s why we created the Reveille Foundation. We work with individuals to understand exactly where they are in all aspects of their life and together, create a plan for success. We then bring the community of resources together to help, provide case management and follow-up regularly with each individual.

We do not do this work alone and value our amazing community partners who we work with, hand-in-hand because it takes a village approach to help people succeed. Our participants work hard themselves throughout their journey and we often act as a mentor, advocate, and cheerleader.

U.S.VETS is the nations largest nonprofit provider of comprehensive services to homeless and at-risk veterans. With 20 residential sites and 9 service centers in 13 cities across 5 states, the District of Columbia and the territory of Guam, U.S.VETS provides vital housing, employment and mental health services to veterans and their families. Our Mission is the successful transition of military veterans and their families through the provision of housing, counseling, career development and comprehensive support. We provide services to over 3,000 veterans a day. Each year, we help 4,000 veterans a year find housing and connect over 1,000 veterans a year with full-time employment. These struggling veterans represent sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, brothers and sisters. Each have served our country. We share both the pride and problems of this nation’s military servicemen and women and believe we have an obligation to help protect and serve those who have served and protected us. Because of this, we are committed to helping veterans in need. Of the veterans living in America today, 63,000 are chronically homeless. Although they represent a relatively small percentage of the general population, veterans make up nearly 20 percent of the homeless population. There is a growing generation of veterans with new challenges to face. In the past decade, two million troops have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. As they return home, many will experience challenges adjusting back to civilian life. Roughly 300,000 returning troops currently suffer from post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or major depression and anxiety. Additionally, over 320,000 individuals have suffered a probable traumatic brain injury during deployment. The need for support for our nation’s veterans will only continue to increase. The Career Development Initiative (CDI) provides targeted career preparation, job placement assistance and job retention services to veterans with a focus on post-9/11 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. The program expands veteran employment opportunities by growing the network of employers willing to hire these men and women when they complete their tour of service; identifies veterans’ skill sets so that appropriate career matches can be made; directly connects veterans to private employers; tracks employment for 12 months following placement; and collaborates with other nonprofit providers to achieve the greatest number of veteran placements. CDI is a priority for U.S.VETS as it empowers at-risk veterans to become self-sufficient, reducing the likelihood that they will become homeless.

Through LinkedIn, employers get the resume along with an understanding of the potential employee’s network, mutual connections, online presence, endorsements, recommendations/referrals and their personal brand. USO Pathfinder® Transition Program

USO COVID-19 Response: In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, our USO Pathfinder® Transition Program locations are strictly adhering to guidance from military installation commands and abiding by CDC guidance on health safety practices regarding center operations.

We remain steadfast in our mission to support transitioning service members and military spouses. There have been minimal disruptions to one-on-one USO Pathfinder services, as we have shifted Transition Specialist meetings to virtual delivery. Program registration remains open with no disruptions to that process.

The USO Pathfinder® Transition Program extends the USO experience to active duty, Reserve, National Guard and military spouses by offering professional development services throughout the duration of the service member or military spouse’s career, as well as when they transition out of the military and settle into their new communities.

USO Transition Specialists provide these free services through one on-one support (either virtually, or in person) and help military families create a plan for success now – and for the future.

Who We Are

Veterans Transition Support (VTS) is an All-Volunteer San Diego and Orange County California based 501(c)(3) Nonprofit created in 2014 to help active duty service members and veterans bridge the gap between military service and civilian life through job training and one-on-one mentoring in career development, education planning and obtaining veteran benefits to launch their next career and prevent veteran suicide, homelessness, unemployment, and family disintegration. The Veterans Transition Support “Military Transition Training Program” provides no cost professional certification courses and transition resource briefs at the Wounded Warrior Battalion on Camp Pendleton, in San Diego and in San Marcos. Partnerships with the Easter Seals Bob Hope Veterans Support Program and the VetCTAP veteran career management program ensures that all program participants who register for one-on-one assistance are provided with individualized employment support and assistance with resume writing, interviewing techniques, and networking at no cost to the veteran.

What We Do

Veterans Transition Support’s (VTS) mission is to bridge the gap between the civilian workforce and our transitioning military service members and veterans before they experience transition road-blocks. VTS ensures our military service members reintegrate back into civilian life and the civilian workforce into careers suitable for their level of military experience and economic sustainability. This is achieved by providing service members with effective tools to translate their military experience into recognizable civilian job skills, civilian certifications to transfer military experience into its civilian counterpart, identifying needed training to fill skill gaps and one on one mentoring in four critical areas required to sustain a successful transition: Career Development, Cultural Adaptation, Obtaining VA Benefits and Education Planning. The VTS goal is to seamlessly transition all military personnel who enter the Veterans Transition Support program prior to leaving military service through individual mentoring, career management, counseling, and weekend and evening programs that close skill gaps and provide networking opportunities with civilian hiring managers.

VETLANTA is a club operated in Atlanta exclusively for veteran social and business networking and community service purposes.

VetsinTech supports our current and returning veterans with re-integration services, and by connecting them to the national technology ecosystem. VIT is committed to bringing together a tech-specific network, resources, and programs for our veterans interested in Education, Entrepreneurship, and Employment – the 3E’s!

We keep challenges from turning into crises
Vets4Warriors, housed at the Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care National Call Center in New Jersey, is a one-of-a-kind 24/7 peer support network. Originally supported by the National Guard Bureau and the U.S. Department of Defense, today Vets4Warriors operates independently of the U.S. military, complementing official government resources available to service members and veterans. We are committed to ensuring that all veterans, service members, their families, and caregivers always have direct and immediate access to a peer who understands their life experiences and the challenges they face, and can provide support whenever they confront an issue, wherever they are in the world.

Our Philosophy
We believe that there is no physical, mental, or social challenge that we can’t help find a solution for. Regardless of the complexity of the issue, or how long it takes, we will continue to follow up, seek out possible avenues, and pursue different options until an answer is found. We go the extra mile.

Who we serve
We serve veterans of all generations and the entire military community, from those who just put on a uniform, to the caregiver of a veteran who has long since stopped wearing a uniform.

By providing peer-to-peer support through the transition process, VTAP works alongside the transitioning service member or spouse to make referrals that include, but is not limited to resume review, introduction to the Virginia Labor Market index, connection with the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) certified companies for employment, and other DVS programs as applicable.

Veterans and military spouses may receive vocational rehabilitation and employment services to help with job training, employment, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching.

Volunteers of America embodies President Lincoln’s promise to care for those “who shall have born the battle.” Currently, there are 18.2 million veterans in the United States according to the latest statistics from the U.S. Census Bureau. According to the 2018 Annual Homeless Assessment Report, 37,878 veterans experience homelessness each evening. Ninety percent of those experiencing homelessness are men, with an increasing number of women with children now experiencing homelessness.

How We Support Veterans
We proudly serve 27,000 veterans with support services and affordable housing annually, including over 10,000 homeless veterans. More than 50 percent of veterans who live in our transitional housing for six months achieve our target outcome of stable, adequate permanent housing, and half of those are still in permanent housing after 12 months.

Volunteers of America is committed to promoting the well-being of all veterans and their families, whether they are newly transitioning from military to civilian life or have long been returned but are struggling with homelessness, unemployment, mental health and substance use challenges, suicide risks, and the effects of traumatic brain injury (TBI) and sexual trauma. Every veteran deserves dignity and respect.

Our services, from housing and employment support to mental health care, help veterans overcome the barriers that stand between them and long-term stability. Through prevention, rapid rehousing, interim housing, transitional housing, permanent housing, job training and compensated work programs, we make it possible for veterans to have a roof over their heads and the professional opportunities they deserve.

Our housing units provide case management services for veterans and families and many of our offices support outreach centers where veterans can receive treatment for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injuries and addictions. We ensure veterans connect to the benefits they are entitled to, and we make use of the strong bonds forged between veterans by incorporating mentoring and peer-to-peer support.

We also provide employment services that include assessment, training and placement. Compensated work programs offer a stipend while training veterans for a new career, and help is available with everything from resume preparation to job interviewing, clothing and transportation. Finding work is an important part of building back confidence and pride and sustaining independence.

Volunteers of America’s moral injury repair initiatives have increased our capacity to serve veterans in crisis and at risk of suicide. Engaging staff who are veterans and who are certified mental health specialists (via certification as Veteran Peer Support Specialists, a recognized mental health specialty), our training programs offer critical skills to strengthen veterans against the challenges they face.

VIE-25 is a joint project under direction of the governor’s office between the State Board of Community and Technical colleges and the Garrison Command to support pathways to employment for transitioning service members.

VetsNet works with more than 75 agencies throughout Wisconsin counties and beyond to bring critical services to at-risk veterans and their families. Those partner agencies are  veteran service organizations, state and federal veteran  agencies, other nonprofit  veteran and community social  service agencies.

The priority is to always grant basic needs or emergencies first – anything from putting food on the table to assisting with car repairs, home repairs, baby supplies, clothing, etc. When basic needs are met, W4OH also enjoys providing fun things like sending the troops to athletic events, sending them on vacation to get re-acquainted after deployments, meeting celebrities and more.
