About the Program
The state of North Carolina has partnered with Cisco, Amazon Web Services, NetApp, NDG, (ISC)2, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, and Onward to Opportunity (O2O), to offer CyberVetsUSA, a program that provides free training and employment opportunities to veterans, transitioning service members, National Guard and Reservists, and their spouses.
Offering the latest cyber courses and certifications from some of the industry’s leading tech companies, CyberVetsUSA is a skills-to-job pathway that aims to fast-track those coming out of the military into high-demand cyber careers.
The approximately 12- to 14-week training is primarily online and is offered by the above industry partners, who are also providing career resources and connections to job opportunities for those who complete the training and certification.
How It Works
Skills Assessment: Eligible participants who are looking to gain cyber employment in North Carolina should visit cs.co/CyberVetsUSA to submit their interest. Interested candidates can complete the interest form to receive a link to register for CyberVetsUSA. Once submitted, an enrollment advisor will reach out to determine the individual learning path and available training options.
Course Offerings: Cyber courses are available primarily as self-paced, online trainings to be completed within a 12-14 week timeframe. Depending on current skills, personal learning preference, and available time commitment, veterans will work with an advisor to pick the course that best suits them. Participants who successfully complete the program will be prepared for an industry certification and entry-level cyber positions. Training consists of the following six tracks:
Cybersecurity Operations
Network Security
Security Management
Operations/Technical Support
Software Engineering
Security Infrastructure
Veteran Support: During training, participants will gain access to mentors and virtual communities to enhance their learning experiences. In addition, career resources (including resume writing, interview techniques, and career exploration) will be made available to those who achieve a 30% course completion milestone.
Industry Certification: Once the course is completed, a free voucher is offered to the participant to obtain an industry certification for the related cyber course.
Employment Opportunities: Because employment is a key success metric for CyberVetsUSA, we want to ensure veterans have direct access to meaningful employment opportunities. Therefore, participants will be invited to join the Talent Bridge for Veterans job-matching engine, sponsored by Cisco, to build their professional profile and explore real-time job openings from hundreds of employers looking for qualified tech talent.

What We Do & How We Do It
Military Spouse Jobs has honed a very successful, proven method for ensuring our job seekers connect with the career opportunities they deserve.
Our approach has three parts: people, technology and education.
People. Our people — all of whom are highly-educated veterans and military spouses themselves — get to know our job seekers personally. We then provide personal, high-touch, free job placement support, leveraging relationships with hundreds of leading national employers.
Technology. Further, we track our job seekers’ progress after we place them, helping to ensure they succeed. As they progress along and advance in their career – we’re right there with them to help as needed.
Education. For candidates who need extra support, we have developed top-notch training, educational tools, career development resources and mentoring. Our training team — which includes professionals who have developed curricula for prestigious American universities — works closely with each job seeker to guarantee they’re positioned to get the job they deserve.
Our Values
We believe a big part of what sets us apart is our core values, which were deepened through serving our country. Those values include:
Integrity – We don’t accept funding from any branches of the Military or the Government; our singular allegiance is to the job seekers we serve.
Respect – We have the deepest respect for those who are serving, have served, and surround those wo have served; that reverance guides every decision we make.
Commitment – We don’t think it’s enough to just help a veteran or spouse get a job. Nobody goes deeper, or stays involved longer, to help military-affiliated job seekers attain a rewarding career.
Focus – We have never strayed from our founding charter. If it doesn’t help active duty military, veterans or military spouses connect with a high-paying career, we won’t do it.
Efficiency – We are tirelessly devoted to ensuring every penny we spend advances our mission. Deloitte audits show that 96 cents on the dollar goes to that mission.

About us
Helping people on their journey to a better life has been the mission of the Reveille Foundation since 2018. For many who are transitioning into a new community, rebuilding their life, or just want a fresh start can find it extremely difficult to locate and navigate programs and services. Some of these resources can take weeks, months and even years to navigate and unless you are familiar with the processes many get confused, overwhelmed, or simply give up.
That’s why we created the Reveille Foundation. We work with individuals to understand exactly where they are in all aspects of their life and together, create a plan for success. We then bring the community of resources together to help, provide case management and follow-up regularly with each individual.
We do not do this work alone and value our amazing community partners who we work with, hand-in-hand because it takes a village approach to help people succeed. Our participants work hard themselves throughout their journey and we often act as a mentor, advocate, and cheerleader.
This is the call to unite our communities, this is the call to help those in need. This is the call for you to change your life for the better.
This is the Reveille Foundation,
the call to serve the underserved.

The Texas Veterans Commission will ensure that Texas veterans maintain the highest quality of life and well-being through its advocacy and dedication to veterans’ services.
We hold ourselves personally and professionally accountable to provide exemplary customer service to veterans, their families, and survivors through our core values.
PROFESSIONALISM

INTEGRITY
Provide fair, honest and objective advocacy in an ethical manner while displaying the highest standard of conduct both on and off duty.
COMPASSION
Consistently demonstrate care, concern and understanding in every encounter with Veterans, family members and stakeholders.
COMMITMENT
Fully dedicated to develop yourself to become the best you can be in carrying out the mission of the TVC.
TEAMWORK
Working together in a positive and productive manner to accomplish the mission and goals of the agency.
The Texas Veterans Commission was created in 1927 as the State Service Office to assist veterans of the Indian wars, Spanish-American War and World War I. Our purpose has always been to act as the state appointed advocate of Texas veterans as they attempt to secure the benefits rightfully earned in exchange for their service in our nation’s armed forces.
We are able to do this through our eight program areas:
- Claims Representation and Counseling serves veterans, their dependents and survivors, in all matters pertaining to veterans’ disability benefits and rights. It is the designated agency of the state of Texas to represent the State and its veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
- Veterans Education Program approves all programs for Chapter 30, 33, 35, 1606, and 1607 federal educational benefits. Through an approval process, the Texas Veterans Commission ensures that institutions and employers are in compliance with federal guidelines and are qualified to provide the type of training offered.
- Veterans Employment Services offers employment services to Texas veterans and helps employers find qualified veteran job applicants. The goal of these services is to match veteran job seekers with the best employment opportunities available.
- The purpose of the Veteran Entrepreneur Program (VEP) is to foster and promote veteran entrepreneurship throughout the state of Texas. The Texas Veterans Commission, with the help of the Governor’s office and several prominent Legislators, passed Senate Bill 1476 in 2013. This allowed for the funding of a team of experienced business consultants to be available for any veteran in the state of Texas to consult with, free of charge to the veteran.
- Fund for Veterans’ Assistance is a program that makes grants to eligible charitable organizations, local government agencies, and Veterans Service Organizations (VSOs) that provide direct services to Texas veterans and their families.
- The Health Care Advocacy Department is a team of highly-trained Texas Veteran Commission staff, strategically positioned across the state to act as liaisons for Texas veterans in addressing issues involving Veterans Administration health care related services.
- In collaboration with the Department of State Health Services, the Texas Veterans Commission’s Veterans Mental Health Program consists of multiple initiatives focusing on peer support, clinical mental health care access, and community collaboration.
- The Women Veterans Program serves women veterans by helping them to obtain their benefits and services. We strive to raise awareness of women veteran contributions and services to our country and state, as well as inform and educate women veterans and their resource providers about the benefits and services to women veterans.
Through these program areas, the Texas Veterans Commission provides excellent service so that each veteran receives every benefit that they deserve. As a veteran works with our counselors, the quality of life for that veteran and their family significantly increases.
Today, Texas is leading the country by making sure each veteran is represented and cared for. The people of Texas have sent a clear message that the sacrifices made by veterans and their families are deeply appreciated, and that there is an agency that will stand by them and take care of them: the Texas Veterans Commission.

About the VetJobs OCEAN Family.
Chapter 1: Helping Military Spouses Thrive
The VetJobs OCEAN family had humble beginnings — founded with $323, in military housing, at the outset of the Iraq War. When Deb Kloeppel, a successful entrepreneur and senior executive at American Airlines, left her position to PCS overseas, she realized there was a need to better support the career aspirations of military spouses. She saw women and men who were accomplished, highly trained and highly educated, but suddenly found themselves living someplace very far away — because of their devotion to family and country. So, in 2004, Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN) was born.
Chapter 2: 1 : 1 Job Placement Support for Active Duty Military and Veterans
MSCCN quickly grew to become the premiere job placement and career development facilitator for military spouses and family members. It was so successful that it inspired Deb and her husband, Rear Admiral Dan Kloeppel (U.S. Navy, ret.), to co-found CASY: Corporate America Supports You. Armed with a letter of need from the Army National Guard and startup money from Direct Employers, CASY was chartered in 2010, with the mission of providing free employment readiness, vocational training and one-on-one job placement services for National Guard, Reserves, transitioning service members and veterans of all branches of service. RADM Kloeppel — after a 36-year military career, plus 36 years as a commercial airline pilot — has gained a unique perspective on how to best support service members transitioning to the civilian workplace.
Chapter 3: Supporting Tens of Thousands, Joining Forces with VetJobs
From just under 500 job placements its first year, CASY quickly grew to become a powerhouse in helping military-affiliated job seekers connect to high paying, rewarding careers. By 2019, CASY and MSCCN had surpassed their 57,000th verified hired. It was at this point, with the financial help of Swift Transporation, that the opportunity emerged to acquire VetJobs.com, the best-known, online military job board. One immediate impact was the addition of thousands of new applicants, now receiving our one-on-one help. With the addition of VetJobs, CASY and MSCCN had their most successful year ever in 2019, helping nearly 9,200 active duty service members, veterans, and military spouses connect to career opportunities.
To begin 2020, the VetJobs OCEAN family welcomed MilitarySpouseJobs.org — powered by MSCCN, now sitting alongside VetJobs.org, CASY.US and MSCCN.org.
MilitarySpouseJobs.org provides the same unparalleled career placement and advancement services to military spouses, caregivers, and military family members that MSCCN has delivered for years, as these onboarding gateways all lead to our same IBM technology, DirectEmployers Jobs, and our one-on-one assistance.
The Warrior-Scholar Project is designed to provide mentoring and other forms of guidance for enlisted service members wishing to attend four-year universities. The program seeks to teach the skills required for effective and successful learning in the college environment.
