Salary Range :    78000.00 USD - 82000.00 USD

THIS IS A JUNIOR-LEVEL POSITION.

SCHEDULE: FLEXIBLE BUT TYPICALLY AROUND 8AM OR 9AM - 5PM MST

OUR COMPANY IS CURRENTLY ON A HYBRID POLICY OF 2 DAYS PER WEEK WORKING REMOTELY BUT THE MANAGER IS OPEN TO CONSIDERING OTHER OPTIONS IF NEEDED.

TOP SKILLS NEEDED:
Hardware, RF, Analog and/or Digital design, Circuit Design, PCBA layout, Altium, systems engineering, data transmission line experience, Experience designing for Downhole (or Extreme) environments (High Temperature, Pressure, Shock & Vibe?), Regulatory or Certification experience.

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY: This person will likely be involved with some amount of both the Sustaining and R&D business groups.

ALL INTERVIEWS WILL BE HELD IN PERSON.

JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include electrical engineering research and product development, as well as supporting the production process and providing customer-facing engineering technical support for existing products. This is an entry level engineering position. Receives coaching and guidance from more experienced engineers and managers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assists in the creation of low-level specifications and documentation of circuits, code, function block diagrams, etc.
- Assists in characterizing and testing electrical components and circuits
- Applies advanced knowledge of ruggedized design methodologies
- Performs schematic capture and wiring harness design
- Works with personnel in other departments and other disciplines to complete project assignments
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree (ABET accredited) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering Technology or in closely related field.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 0 -2 years of experience in field of specialization

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
- Experience using standard electronic test equipment such as DVMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, etc.
- Basic experience with circuit design and wiring for reduction of EMI; circuit design and testing (analog and/or digital), and schematic interpretation.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects.
- Good mathematical, statistical and analytical abilities. .
- Familiarity with CAD packages (e.g. Pro Engineer, Mentor Graphics PADS); FEA packages (e.g. SolidWorks, Abaqus); Project Management (e.g. MS Project, SharePoint_ and equivalent.
- Hands on experience with schematic capture and PCB layout.
