Job Summary:
We are seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst to join their growing company. This role will provide support to the Transaction Team in executing M&A deals and consulting engagements from start to finish. The Financial Analyst will work alongside senior members of the team and will be involved in a range of activities, including financial analysis & modeling, valuations, due diligence, negotiations, and client communications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support due diligence activities, including data collection, organization, and analysis
- Conduct financial analysis and modeling to evaluate potential targets and assess transaction value
- Prepare financial models to help drive transaction negotiations and valuations
- Support the creation of marketing materials and other transaction-related documents, including the Confidential Information Memorandum (CIM)
- Assist in the preparation of presentations for clients and senior team members
- Engage with the Client Services team to support business development efforts
- Provide general administrative support (e.g. regulatory reporting, data room management)
- Performs other related and ad-hoc duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience using Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis software
- Knowledge of financial statements, accounting principles, and valuation methodologies
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and high-impact environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High level of attention to organization, detail, and accuracy
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to not only meet deadlines but help others do so as well
- Ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external parties, including employees, vendors, and potential clients
- Understanding of best-practice processes when dealing with confidential information.
- Ability to be proactive about developing goals, projects, and tasks.
