Brian Armstrong, Manager of National Military Programs & Talent Attraction at Charter Communications, Spectrum.
Today, Brian serves as a military talent advocate across Spectrum’s 41-state footprint that employs nearly 10,000 individuals with a military affiliation as well as the Nationally Registered Broadband Field Technician Apprentice Program Manager. In his current role, he leads a team of Military Talent Professionals and well as talent attraction programs that connect transitioning service members, military spouses, veterans, national guard and reservists with careers at Spectrum. Brian presents a diverse professional background in recruiting and operations that stems from his service as a United States Marine. While in the service, he completed two deployments to Iraq and was stationed at various duty stations to include HQMC in Washington, D.C, Camp Pendleton, CA and Camp Lejeune, NC. In 2013, he was awarded RS Recruiter of the Year during his time as a Marine Corps Recruiter in Frederick, MD. At the close of Brian’s career he served as the training chief for one of the largest Marine Corps units, as part of a team that managed the training and school seats of 1,300 active-duty military personnel.
Upon transitioning 2015, Brian joined Hilton as a full-cycle, high-volume recruiter in hotel operations later being promoted to Military Recruitment Manager. He credits his role as a high- volume recruiter as an eye opening experience to understanding challenges our military community face within the workforce and the opportunity to educate civilians about the true value military talent bring to organizations. In his free time, Brian enjoys camping with his 2 boxers, reading and spending time with family.
