Description
SOS International, LLC (SOSi) is currently seeking a Senior Application Systems Analyst (SYSMAN) in Fort Huachuca, AZ. The Senior Applications Systems Analyst reports to the SYSMAN Team Lead, formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needs.
Responsibilities
- Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Prepare detailed specifications for future programs.
- Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and document as necessary.
- Possess competence to work on most phases of applications systems analysis activities.
- Perform automated system configuration, updating, patching, monitoring, system reporting, and statistics for deployed applications, operating systems, and services using configuration, monitoring and enterprise orchestrating systems / services.
- Provide the RCC-C AOR with computer management system application deployment, configuration, monitoring, reporting, and sustaining services in accordance with system owner guidance, best practices, and/or industry standards.
- Support patching and system hardening through STIG application.
- Develops, updates, and provides evidence for POAM maintenance and resolutions for all team controlled assets identified with an open security vulnerability requiring mitigation.
- Provide account management services to create, modify, and delete administrator and user accounts. 10) Review and monitor event and user access logs and provide routine system updates.
- Troubleshoot application errors, operating system(s), server hardware, network communications and storage allocation issues within the SYSMAN environment.
- Utilize diagnostic tools to trace and resolve technical problems.
- Identify complex network and system fault corrections.
- Utilize Remedy ITSM to track and resolve problems impacting continued system operations and make recommendations for any corrective actions required.
- Monitor for policy changes for Information Systems.
- Support the configuration and maintenance of applications to support system owner and mission owner requirements.
- Document revised/updated procedures, processes, and methods for the operations and maintenance of the SYSMAN infrastructure.
- Support application/software updates/patches and provide system / service status reporting for systems within RCC-C AOR as requested.
- Provide on-call support after business hours and during weekends when required.
- Follow ITIL best practices to manage tickets and processes.
- Develop and/or maintain SOPs, TTPs, and SmartBooks associated with current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
- Participate in special projects as required.
Qualifications
- Active in scope SECRET clearance or the ability to obtain Interim SECRET clearance
- HS +6 yrs similar technical experience or AA/AS +4, or BS/BA +2
- An IAT II certification (CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) is required
- Ability to perform on-call and after duty hours as needed
- Communicate effectively both orally and in a written form with users and office staff
- Capable of explaining complex procedures both verbally and in writing
- Work independently and within a team structure
- Ability to set priorities and organize work to meet deadlines
- Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with those contacted during the course of the work day
- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely in a logical manner
Preferred Qualifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Microsoft - How to use Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- DISA ACAS v5.3
Working Conditions

- May require periods of non-traditional working hours including consecutive nights or weekends (if applicable).
