Function/Duties of Position

The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.
The Project Manager will manage all phases of assigned projects.
This person is responsible for:

 

    • Partnering closely with the Executive Director, Project Managers, technical staff & vendors to design, plan, manage & oversee the full life cycle of assigned projects. This includes design, build, training, implementation, communication & change management

 

    • Defining, communicating & adhering to project scope & guiding principles

 

    • Successful change management by overseeing workflow assessments and gap & impact analyses to understand, document and effectively communicate key changes to stakeholders

 

    • Developing a recurring, multi-faceted & effective communication plan targeting all stakeholders

 

    • Defining, monitoring & meeting timelines for deliverables, including design, build, test, training, training tool development, go-live support & other project needs

 

    • Proposing a plan for post go-live support & optimizations

 

    • Surfacing and managing project risks, issues and barriers, mitigating where possible & escalating in a timely manner, as needed

 

    • The successful and timely implementation of assigned projects within scope and budget

 

    • Assisting with project tool development and refinement & the mentoring of Project Coordinators

 

This person will work closely with the Executive Director, other Project Managers and project resources.
This position is currently 100% telework/remote and may include remote work long-term. Candidate must be able to work from home full-time.

Required Qualifications

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other field with experience in IT.
Experience:

 

    • 5 years experience in a complex technology environment.

 

    • 3 years experience in a health care setting.

 

    • 2 years project management healthcare implementation experience & change management
