Data Center Site Technician
The Data Center Site Technician will provide the building maintenance services including on-site electrical and mechanical maintenance and repairs of non-critical aspects of the Facility’s buildings and grounds, as directed. By way of example, these maintenance services could include such services as:
Responsibilities:
- General area cleanup
- Touchup painting
- Tool inventory
- Door repair
- Mounting of signage
- Minor electrical tasks
- Minor plumbing tasks
- Basic minor carpentry tasks
- Specific or immediate industrial cleaning tasks, as needed
- Light-duty mechanical tasks
- Monitoring and replacing HVAC filters and light bulbs in designated areas
- Hanging of wall art and shelving
- Dismantling and installation of furniture and cabinets
- Setting up and taking down tables and chairs for special meetings or events
- Snow removal during winter season.
- Setting up and taking down tables and chairs for special meetings or events
- Landscaping and clean up
- Carpet cleaning and/or replacement
- Other tasks and special projects as designated
Qualifications:
- Full use of sight, hearing and voice are required as well as full motor skills. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs, bend, and stoop, reach overhead and stand for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems used in a data center environment, including: Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, Chillers, Air handling units and CRAC units.
- Good observation skills and problem-solving ability.
- Military experience would be an advantage.
