NEW AFSA Family Matters Education Connections Sponsored One-Course Scholarship

AFSA has partnered together with Columbia Southern University (CSU) to provide a sponsored One-Course Scholarship for all Military Veterans/Retirees and AFSA. The One-Course Scholarship is worth over $700, as CSU has also waived the application fee, and will provide free loaner book(s). Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Scholarship Programs

The Women’s Army Corps Veterans Association Scholarship has been established to recognize relatives of Army Service Women. This scholarship is based upon academic achievement and leadership as expressed through co-curricular activities and community involvement.

That Others May Live Scholarships

That Others May Live Foundation provides immediate tragedy assistance, scholarships for the children, and other critical support of U.S. Air Force Rescue Heroes who are killed or severely wounded in operational or training missions.

The Tailhook Educational Foundation

High school graduate and child or grandchild of a current or former Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer, or Air-crewman. Or Children/grandchildren of individuals who served onboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.

Society of the Daughters of the United States Army (DUSA)

To be eligible for a DUSA Scholarship award you must meet all of the following criteria: Be the daughter, granddaughter, stepdaughter or adopted daughter of a career commissioned or warrant officer in the United States Army who is on active duty, retired after at least 20 years active duty service, was medically retired from active duty or died while on active duty.

Retired Enlisted Association

The Retired Enlisted Association’s (TREA) National Scholarship program. TREA members are proud to be able to offer these scholarships to our Nations high school student. The program is open to any high school student.

Keller Scholarship

The CWO John A. Keller, Chief Warrant and Warrant Officers Association Scholarship Grant (hereinafter “Grant”) is established to financially assist dependent children of members in good standing or who were members in good standing of the CWOA, United States Coast Guard at the time of their death. The assistance shall be a monetary grant for an accredited institution of higher learning.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

Provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate students to promote access to postsecondary education. Students can receive these grants at any one of approximately 4,000 participating postsecondary institutions. Priority is given to those students with “exceptional need” (those with the lowest expected Family contributions, [EFCs], at the institution) and those who are also Federal Pell Grant (see # 84.063, also under topical heading “Federal Student Aid”) recipients.

Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families

Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, is a program that allows eligible grades K-12 and college students in U.S. military families to connect to a live tutor online at any time for one-to-one help with homework, studying, test prep, proofreading and more. The service is available at no charge to all grades K12 students and service members—regardless of whether the service member is serving full-time or part-time—plus some adult dependents in Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve families.

Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, Inc.

MC-LEF currently establishes a $35,000 educational account for every child who loses a parent serving in the United States Marine Corps or any Federal Law Enforcement Agency.

Survivors’ and Dependents’ Educational Assistance Program

If you’re the child or spouse of a Veteran or service member who has died, is captured or missing, or has disabilities, you may be able to get help paying for school or job training through the DEA program—also called Chapter 35.

Army Women’s Foundation

The Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program provides grants to women soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals.

AMVETS Scholarships

AMVETS’ offers scholarships through our National Service Foundation (NSF) and donations. They are for Veteran (other than dishonorable), Active Duty, Guard, and Reserves; Spouses; and Children/Grandchildren of Veterans, Active Duty, Guard, and Reserves who are currently in high school. The scholarships, up to $12,000, are only for full-time study at an accredited undergraduate college, university, or technical school leading to a non-specific degree.

America’s Child – Higher Education Assistance

Honoring our nation’s armed forces, America’s Child provides higher education and welfare assistance for the children of our military heroes: the fallen men and women who proudly sacrificed their lives fighting terrorism and whose strength and courage has kept our nation safe.

Allied.com Military Scholarship Competition

Military Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Operational Management Scholarship, available to all those current or former active duty military and their dependents who qualify. Upon the contest’s close date, two lucky winners will be selected to be the recipients of an award totaling $1,000 each.
