Liberty University's Heroes Fund Scholarship

The Heroes Fund Scholarship is offered to service members and honorably discharged Gulf War veterans* pursuing their first certificate, associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree. Liberty University is proud of our country’s heroes who have given so much for our freedom. We know that this freedom comes at a high price for many. To show appreciation for the service members who have been wounded while protecting our freedom, Liberty University has created the Heroes Fund Scholarship (HFS).

Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts

The My Career Advancement Account Scholarship Program is a workforce development program that provides up to $4,000 of financial assistance for licenses, certifications, or Associate’s degrees to pursue an occupation or career field.

Military Spouse Fellowship Program for Financial Counseling

The FINRA Foundation Military Spouse Fellowship program provides military spouses the opportunity to earn the AFC® (Accredited Financial Counselor®) certification—while providing financial counseling and education to the military community. The fellowship covers the costs associated with completing the AFC® training and testing. Created in 2006, this opportunity is made possible through generous funding and support by FINRA Foundation, and in partnership with the National Military Family Association (NMFA). The FINRA Foundation covers the costs of the AFC® training and testing.

Retired Enlisted Association

The Retired Enlisted Association’s (TREA) National Scholarship program. TREA members are proud to be able to offer these scholarships to our Nations high school student. The program is open to any high school student.

The Tailhook Educational Foundation

High school graduate and child or grandchild of a current or former Naval Aviator, Naval Flight Officer, or Air-crewman. Or Children/grandchildren of individuals who served onboard a U.S. Navy aircraft carrier.

Woman's Army Corps Veterans' Association Scholarship

The Women’s Army Corps Veterans Association Scholarship has been established to recognize relatives of Army Service Women. This scholarship is based upon academic achievement and leadership as expressed through co-curricular activities and community involvement.

Veterans United Foundation Scholarship

The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship creates opportunities for family members of service members and Veterans to achieve their educational dreams.

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Scholarship Programs

The VFW is dedicated to promoting patriotism and investing in our future generation. If you are a democracy-loving high school student interested in a $30,000 college scholarship or a patriotic middle school student interested in winning $5,000, these scholarships may be for you.

NEW AFSA Family Matters Education Connections Sponsored One-Course Scholarship

AFSA has partnered together with Columbia Southern University (CSU) to provide a sponsored One-Course Scholarship for all Military Veterans/Retirees and AFSA. Family Members; plus all Active Duty, Guard & Reserve Spouses and College-Age Dependents. The One-Course Scholarship is worth over $700, as CSU has also waived the application fee, and will provide free loaner book(s). Students study at their pace to prep for the ACT/SAT with instant access to a live teacher.

Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans' Families

Offer experiential training in entrepreneurship and small business management to post-9/11 veterans and their families. The aim of the program is to open the door to economic opportunity by developing their competencies in creating and sustaining an entrepreneurial venture.

Federal government offers money for college for veterans, future military personnel, active duty personnel, or those related to veterans or active duty personnel.

Financial Counselor Fellowship

Fifty military spouses will have an opportunity to earn the Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC) designation to offer one-on-one financial and group counseling and education to service members and their families.

Fisher House Scholarships for Military Children

The program was created in recognition of the contributions of military families to the readiness of the fighting force and to celebrate the role of the commissary in the military family community.

Folded Flag Foundation serves to honor the legacy of and pay tribute to, the brave men and women who have given their lives in defense of our country.

To provide educational scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members.

Fort Bragg Area Officer's Spouse Club Grants/Scholarship

Association of Bragg Spouses awards high school scholarships and continuing education scholarships.

Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund

Scholarship fund is for the children of the military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in a combat mission or training accident.

Gold Star Kids Project

The Gold Star Program provides education scholarships of $500-$2500 per academic year. The child of a Sailor or Marine who died while serving on active duty or after retirement.

Homefront America

Five $1,000 scholarships are awarded to dependents.
