Delta Dental Grants

This program provides scholarships and grants to military spouses, dependents, and transitioning service members for the advancement of oral health and wellness. Eligible applicants may be pursuing a wide range of programs such as denistry, nursing, home health aid, or caregiver training.

Air Force OSC of Washington DC Scholarship

The purpose of the AFOSC Scholarship Awards Program is to acknowledge and reward outstanding academic and personal achievements of eligible United States Air Force dependents and spouses, of any rank, by offering merit based scholarships for study at higher learning institutions.

Blinded Veterans Association

Spouses, dependent children, and grandchildren of blinded veterans are eligible for the annual Kathern F. Gruber Scholarship to assist them with their higher education tuition. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of merit through an application process that is evaluated by a committee. Gruber scholarships are for one year only but recipients can re-apply and receive the award up to four times. The blinded veteran family member is not required to be a BVA member for the spouse or child to receive a scholarship.

Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society

The NMCRS Education Assistance Program is designed to help eligible Navy and Marine Corps families pursue their academic goals by providing scholarships and interest-free loans. Awards are provided based on the applicant’s financial need, and in accordance with policies established by the Society’s Board of Directors. Grants range from $500-$3,000 per academic year. Students must submit an application each year.

Navy League Foundation Scholarships

The Foundation guarantees scholarships to high school seniors who will attend college in the Fall. Scholarships are available to children and grandchildren of veterans and active duty.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Scholarship Program

Competitive program that awards scholarships to Purple Heart Recipients and their spouse, children, and grandchildren each year.

Military Officers Association of America: American Patriot Scholarship

Each student is eligible for up to five years of undergraduate study at an accredited 2 or 4 year college. To qualify, the student must be a child of a member of the military who died while on Active Duty or severely wounded. They must be under 24 years old at the time of application.

Senior must be attending Richmond Hill High School.

Marine Corps Scholarship Fund

4 types of scholarships are awarded: Heroes Tribute for Children of the Fallen guarantees $30,000 over 4 years; Heroes Tribute for Children of the Wounded guarantees $6,000-$40,000 over 4 years; and Limited Grandchildren Eligibility – limited funding. Undergraduate/Associate application dates are January 1-March 3; Career & Technical Application dates are available all year and reviewed monthly.

Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc.

Program specifically seeks high school students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.

Homefront America

Five $1,000 scholarships are awarded to dependents.

Gold Star Kids Project

The Gold Star Program provides education scholarships of $500-$2500 per academic year. The child of a Sailor or Marine who died while serving on active duty or after retirement.

Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund

Scholarship fund is for the children of the military personnel who have been killed or permanently disabled in a combat mission or training accident.
