Pets for Vets is tailored to the needs, wants, and hopes of each of our Veterans. Pets for Vets takes the time to listen and find the animal that will bring the most support and comfort. Any U.S. Veteran who could benefit from having a skilled companion animal can apply.

The Maine Military & Community Network
The Maine Military and Community Network is a community effort to understand, prevent, and help address the challenges faced by current and former military members and their families, as well as their communities. MMCN is Maine’s official Joining Community Forces organization and works in partnership with MyVA Community. Together, they work to raise awareness about: Challenges faced by service members and their families, Resources that exist to help them, How they can help connect service members and their families to their Maine communities.

Travis Mills Foundation
The Travis Mills Foundation supports post 9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families through long-term programs that help these heroic men and women overcome physical obstacles, strengthen their families, and provide well-deserved rest and relaxation. They support these veterans through our nationally recognized retreat located in the Belgrade Lakes Region of Maine. Veteran families who have been injured in active duty or as a result of their service to our nation receive an all-inclusive, all-expenses paid, barrier-free vacation in Maine where they participate in adaptive activities, bond with other veteran families, and enjoy much-needed rest and relaxation in Maine’s outdoors.
