NEW AFSA Family Matters Education Connections Sponsored One-Course Scholarship

AFSA has partnered together with Columbia Southern University (CSU) to provide a sponsored One-Course Scholarship for all Military Veterans/Retirees and AFSA. Family Members; plus all Active Duty, Guard & Reserve Spouses and College-Age Dependents. The One-Course Scholarship is worth over $700, as CSU has also waived the application fee, and will provide free loaner book(s). The Veterans United Foundation Scholarship creates opportunities for family members of service members and Veterans to achieve their educational dreams.

The AFCEA War Veterans Scholarships

The AFCEA War Veterans Scholarships are offered to active-duty and honorably discharged U.S. military Veterans (to include Reservists and National Guard personnel) of the Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) or Iraqi Freedom Operations. Candidates must be currently enrolled and attending either a two-year or four-year accredited college or university in the United States. Candidates must be majoring in the following or related fields: electrical, aerospace, systems or computer engineering, computer engineering technology, computer information systems, information systems management, computer science, physics, mathematics, or science or mathematics education.

Liberty University's Heroes Fund Scholarship

The Heroes Fund Scholarship is offered to service members and honorably discharged Gulf War veterans* pursuing their first certificate, associate, bachelor’s, or master’s degree. Liberty University is proud of our country’s heroes who have given so much for our freedom. We know that this freedom comes at a high price for many. To show appreciation for the service members who have been wounded while protecting our freedom, Liberty University has created the Heroes Fund Scholarship (HFS).

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

Provides need-based grants to low-income undergraduate students to promote access to postsecondary education. Students can receive these grants at any one of approximately 4,000 participating postsecondary institutions. Priority is given to those students with “exceptional need” (those with the lowest expected Family contributions, [EFCs], at the institution) and those who are also Federal Pell Grant (see # 84.063, also under topical heading “Federal Student Aid”) recipients.

Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families

Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families, funded by the U.S. Department of Defense and Coast Guard Mutual Assistance, is a program that allows eligible grades K-12 and college students in U.S. military families to connect to a live tutor online at any time for one-to-one help with homework, studying, test prep, proofreading and more. The service is available at no charge to all grades K12 students and service members—regardless of whether the service member is serving full-time or part-time—plus some adult dependents in Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve families.

Army Women’s Foundation

The Army Women’s Foundation Legacy Scholarship Program provides grants to women soldiers, past and present, and their lineal descendants to help them attain their educational goals.

AMVETS Scholarships

AMVETS’ offers scholarships through our National Service Foundation (NSF) and donations. They are for Veteran (other than dishonorable), Active Duty, Guard, and Reserves; Spouses; and Children/Grandchildren of Veterans, Active Duty, Guard, and Reserves who are currently in high school. The scholarships, up to $12,000, are only for full-time study at an accredited undergraduate college, university, or technical school leading to a non-specific degree.

Allied.com Military Scholarship Competition

Military Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Operational Management Scholarship, available to all those current or former active duty military and their dependents who qualify. Upon the contest’s close date, two lucky winners will be selected to be the recipients of an award totaling $1,000 each.

Ranger Memorial Foundation Scholarship Fund

The National Ranger Memorial Foundation annually awards collegiate scholarships to qualified Rangers of all eras and their dependents.

Posse Veterans Program

A national college access and leadership program for post-9/11 GI Bill-eligible veterans. Selected Posse Veterans Scholars attend top-tier, selective US colleges/universities in teams of 10 and are guaranteed four years of full tuition funding after GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon benefits are applied. Posse Veterans Scholars have access to top internships, career coaches, a diverse professional network, and comprehensive training for leadership positions in the workforce. Current college/university partners: Vassar College (NY), Wesleyan University (CT), the University of Virginia (VA), and the University of Chicago (IL).

Paralyzed Veterans of America Scholarship

Paralyzed Veterans of America is proud to offer funds to PVA members and their immediate family members through our Educational Scholarship Program. We will award scholarships in the amount of $2,500 to full-time students and $1,000 to part-time students

Marine Corps League Scholarship Program

Provide Scholarship Grants to qualified applicants who are pursuing an undergraduate degree, and will be enrolled as a full time student (12 semester hour minimum) in the upcoming academic year 2020 Fall Semester and is attending an accredited undergraduate institution. Scholarships may be awarded for a maximum of four (4) years.

Keller Law Offices Scholarship for Military Veterans

Each year we are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a military veteran or immediate family member to help him/her receive the training needed for their chosen civilian career.

Colona Scholarship

The CWOA LT Art and Eleanor Colona Scholarship Grant was established by the Colona Family to financially assist dependent children of enlisted members of the United States Coast Guard (active, retired, or reserve). Seeking a meaningful way to celebrate the 30 years which LT Colona devoted to the Coast Guard, the Colona family established this scholarship fund to remain in perpetuity with the CWOA. Each year, one or more Colona scholarship recipient(s) will be awarded a 4,000 dollar scholarship dispersing 1,000 dollars a year over four years of undergraduate studies.

Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, Inc.

As one of the nation’s largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.

Coast Guard Exchange System Scholarship Program

Scholarships to students who are dependents of Coast Guard active duty, reserve, and military retired members, current civilian NAF and APF employees, and current Coast Guard Auxiliarists that meet eligibility requirements.
