Provide Scholarship Grants to qualified applicants who are pursuing an undergraduate degree, and will be enrolled as a full time student (12 semester hour minimum) in the upcoming academic year 2020 Fall Semester and is attending an accredited undergraduate institution. Scholarships may be awarded for a maximum of four (4) years.

Each year we are offering a $1,000 scholarship to a military veteran or immediate family member to help him/her receive the training needed for their chosen civilian career.

The CWOA LT Art and Eleanor Colona Scholarship Grant was established by the Colona Family to financially assist dependent children of enlisted members of the United States Coast Guard (active, retired, or reserve). Seeking a meaningful way to celebrate the 30 years which LT Colona devoted to the Coast Guard, the Colona family established this scholarship fund to remain in perpetuity with the CWOA. Each year, one or more Colona scholarship recipient(s) will be awarded a 4,000 dollar scholarship dispersing 1,000 dollars a year over four years of undergraduate studies.

NMFA awards can be used for a variety of educational and employment pursuits. Scholarship funds on average are $1,000 and can be used towards degrees, certifications, licensure, clinical supervision for mental health licensure, CEUs, business expenses and more! Any spouse eligible to hold a valid military ID is eligible.

DePuy Scholarships, named for General William E. DePuy, the 1st Infantry Division Commanding General who started the program during the Vietnam War, are provided for children of soldiers killed in combat or training accidents while serving in a unit assigned or attached to the 1st Infantry Division and authorized to wear the 1st Infantry Division patch.

Huebner Scholarships, named for Lieutenant General Clarence L. Huebner, who commanded the Big Red One during World War II, are competitive scholarships for children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of former members of the Division as well as children of active-duty 1st Infantry Division soldiers.

As one of the nation’s largest need-based college scholarship programs in the country, the Horatio Alger Scholarship Programs specifically assist high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. While many programs are directed primarily to recognizing academic achievement or leadership potential, the Horatio Alger Association seeks students who have exhibited determination, integrity, and perseverance in overcoming adversity, as well as have critical financial need.

The “Heroes’ Legacy Scholarships” program honors not only those who have fallen in battle, but all who have died or have become disabled through their active military service since September 11, 2001. The program is open to their dependent unmarried children under age 23. A disability is defined as one that results in the service member being eligible for, and receiving, Traumatic Servicemembers’ Group Life Insurance (TSGLI) or a permanent and total disability compensation rating of 100%.

Our Mission is to provide college scholarships to dependents of the Navy Aviation Community.

ThanksUSA is a non-partisan, charitable effort to mobilize Americans of all ages to “thank” the men and women of the United States armed forces. They do that by providing need-based college, technical and vocational school scholarships for their children and spouses. Scholarships for dependent children (ages 24 and under) and spouses of active duty military personnel are eligible to apply. However, preference will be given to children or spouses of military members killed or injured on active duty. Scholarships are selected on the basis of financial need; academic record; demonstrated leadership and participation in school and community activities; and a goal statement.

The SOWF provides full scholarship grants and educational and family counseling to the surviving children of special operations personnel who die in operational or training missions and immediate financial assistance to severely wounded, special operations personnel and their families.

Our Military Kids offers cost coverage/free Grants for extra-curricular sports programs like soccer, swimming lessons, fine arts, and tutoring. In support of Gold Star Kids. Children ages 5-18 of fallen military personnel KIA in 2010-present, while serving overseas in support of OEF/OND/OIF or on those killed in CONUS while/during a training mission, while on mobilization orders.

No Greater Sacrifice (NGS) is dedicated to the children of our nation’s fallen and wounded Service members (post 9/11/01) by delivering scholarships and resources to improve their quality of life through the pursuit of higher education. NGS defines “higher education” as advanced learning through a bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree from an approved institution or certificate from a trade school.

Professional Tutors of America is a proud supporter of the families of our Fallen Soldiers and their goal is to provide free personalized tutoring services to every child (or surviving spouse) whose mother or father lost their lives serving in Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Our tutors have been very effective in mentoring these children and keeping them focused on their education and future goals.

This scholarship benefits dependent children of CG members (enlisted and commissioned officers) who lost their life in CG land, air, or sea operations. An eligible dependent may apply for this scholarship any time during the year.

The Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund was founded in October 2003 to help support surviving U.S. Military children who have lost a parent in the Afghanistan or Iraq wars by providing them with College Grants. Our program has been expanded to include spouses of our fallen as well as those whose parent or spouse has suffered a severe disability as a result of their efforts in either war and includes many disabled veterans some who may are no longer be receiving VA educational benefits.

Established to provide financial assistance in the form of scholarships to U.S. military Family members of our Fallen Warriors in their pursuit of higher education.

Dolphin Scholarship Foundation grants are available, on a competitive basis, to high school or college children/stepchildren and spouses of members or former members of the submarine force or those who have served in submarine support activities.
